The luxury compact SUV segment is one of the most competitive segments on the market, with fantastic options from both new and legacy automakers. Being so spoiled for choice, however, sometimes means thatvery good cars are overlooked, which is exactly the case for this British crossover.

Luxury crossovers offer a great middle ground between comfort and performance. They are more practical than their sedan siblings yet still feature great driving dynamics and tons of comfort features. There is one model on the market right now that ticks all these boxes yet doesn’t quite get the attention it deserves. It also may not be around for much longer.

The 2026 Jaguar F-Pace Represents The End Of An Era

As many already know, Jaguar has initiated a complete 180-degree turn away from the legacy that the brand has spent many decades cultivating. However, before the British automaker enters its new all-electric era, there are still some great products on offer, like the impressive, albeit non-conventional, F-Pace.

The compact luxury SUV segment is one of the most competitive segments on the market. This is why the F-Pace gets somewhat outshined when it comes to popularity. It also isn’t the most affordable option, instead targeting the high end of the market with its brilliant styling and overwhelming class.

Jaguar previously claimed thatthe F-Pace would be discontinuedafter the 2025 model year, but here we are. That being said, the brand has made no changes for the newest model year. If you’re looking for the best value, we’d stick with the base model F-Pace, which comes extremely well-equipped despite being the most affordable trim.

Warranty and Maintenance

In the luxury class that the F-Pace competes in, warranties and maintenance plans can save you thousands of dollars. Jaguar offers warranty plans that are longer than most of its rivals, with the exception of the likes of Genesis, which offers a ten-year powertrain warranty. Most impressive, though, is the long maintenance plan that you get with your purchase, with you only having to fork out money after five years of ownership.

Jaguar Mixes Old-School Charm With New School Technology

Many luxury automakers have leaned full-tilt into modern esthetics, with massive screens and flashy tech being the focal points. Jaguar takes a somewhat different approach. While all that tech still exists, including a large touchscreen,high-quality materialsand design are put first.

Cargo Capacity

32.1 Cubic Feet

Jaguar opts for a simple, finely-crafted interior. While there is plenty of technology, things like screens are incorporated very neatly. Beyond screens, there are a number of physical controls for main cabin amenities, which we appreciate greatly in this modern age. Seating is also exceptionally comfortable, whether you’re in the front or the back.

Despite its sleek and sexy styling, the F-Pace is actually pretty accommodating for both passengers and cargo. Those in the front and back will feel like they have plenty of room to stretch their legs. Cargo capacity is also pretty impressive for this segment, and you can fold the 40/20/40 rear bench away for a total of 70.4 cubic feet of cargo space.

Infotainment and Connectivity

An 11.4-inch curved infotainment screen sits mounted to the middle of the dashboard, which can be controlled via touch or voice commands. The screen houses Jaguar’s Pivi Pro infotainment software, which is well designed, with everything arranged into neat menus that are very easy to navigate.

All the high-end features that you would expect are included. Wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Andoird Auto is standard. You also get included in-dash navigation. Jaguar has made a 14-speaker Meridian sound system the standard offering in the F-Pace, which should satisfy most audiophiles.

You Can Choose Between a Perky Inline-Four Or a Sleek Inline-Six

As mentioned before, there are two F-Pace models to choose from. You can either get a turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a moreluxurious and powerful inline-six. You can’t really go wrong here, regardless of which powertrain you opt for, with both putting down power effortlessly.

Every F-Pace comes standard with all-wheel drive and a slick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. The P250 is a gas-only model that comes with a perky four-banger. If you’re looking for some more power, the P400 combines an inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid assist system.

Jaguar is an upscale sporting brand. As such, the F-Pace features a slightly firmer suspension than some of its rivals, but it results in a more responsive and engaging drive. It is also never so firm as to feel uncomfortable. It might not be on par with the likes of the Porsche Macan when it comes to agility, but it is still plenty of fun to drive. It is also plenty practical, with a maximum towing capacity of up to 5,291 pounds.

The Jaguar is an expensive upscale model that focuses on performance. Thus, we weren’t expecting it to blow us away with its efficiency. That being said, it doesn’t rate too badly for its class. Going with the four-cylinder gas-only model nets you the best fuel economy, with the mild-hybrid inline-six dropping a couple miles per gallon.

Jaguar Still Offers a High-Performance SVR Variant

If you’re someone who not only wants your compact SUV to be luxurious, but also exceptionally quick, you may want to consider the top-of-the-line SVR model. It is pricey, starting at $92,400, but it comes with a number of unique features and a fantastic supercharged V-8 under the hood.

It’s surprising how little the F-Pace SVR is talked about, given how impressive its performance is. We understand that everyone is dubious about the reliability of any Jaguar product, but its spec sheet is reason enough to keep it in the conversation. It may be a couple of tenths off of the best zero to 60 times posted by rivals like the Macan GTS or the Mercedes-AMG GLC63, butit is still exceptionally quick.

Even in SVR form, the F-Pace is still capable of being comfortable, pretty seamlessly transitioning between sharp performance machine and sleek daily driver. It also comes fitted with fantastic-looking quad-tailpipes and the sound of the supercharged V-8 when you put your foot down is intoxicating.

Key Features

The biggest upgrades on the SVR are to do with performance, from the larger engine to unique drive modes. However, there are a couple of other features that set this model apart. Unique seats with heating and ventilation are available with unique SVR branding. You’ll find there are a lot of other aethetic elements that make it easier to spot the more performance-oriented model.
