Stop us if this sounds familiar: you’re trying to sleep, and outside noises won’t stop bothering you, so you throw on your noise cancelling earbuds. They’re fine for a while, but eventually they start bothering you or falling out of your ears. Sleep earbuds are meant to fix this, and now, Anker’s Soundcore subsidiary has introduced the second generation of its earbuds designed for sleep.

Soundcore, a name that you might be familiar with from its other audio products, has launched the second generation of its sleepearbuds, the Sleep A20. This upgrade to the successful Sleep A10 focuses on improved noise cancellation and a more comfortable fit for a better night’s sleep. Among many improvements, the Sleep A20 boasts superior noise blocking thanks to its Twin-Seal ear tips, claimed to be 3 times better than single-layer designs. This design aims to block out a variety of nighttime disturbances, including snoring partners and outside noises.

One cool thing about these is that the Sleep A20’s compact, ergonomic design is actually perfect for sleeping sideways, by conforming to the ear’s shape without protruding and causing discomfort. Ultra-soft silicone covers the entire earbud surface for maximum comfort during wear. As far as battery life goes, the Sleep A20 offers 14 hours of playtime in sleep mode with additional charges stored in the case, totaling 80 hours. So no matter how much you sleep, given they’re fully juiced up, you can get a long, long night of sleep out of these. If you want to use them while you’re awake, you can expect up to 10 hours of playtime with 55 hours of total charge in the case (at 50% volume).

They also come with a range of features. You can fall asleep to various sounds from a built-in library or their favorite music/podcasts via Bluetooth. In addition to this, a customizable, repeatable alarm ensures you can wake up on time without disturbing others. Automatic sleep monitoring with sleep position tracking is available through the Soundcore app (Android/iOS). Finally, but certainly not least important, a “Find My Earbuds” function helps locate misplaced earbuds within your sheets or under furniture.

Pre-orders start April 16th on Kickstarter with discounts for early backers, and you canto know when the campaign goes live. If you don’t want to pre-order them, regular purchases begin mid-late May on Amazon.com and Soundcore for $149.99.
