Summary
Foldable phones are no longer a niche, and Samsung is making sure there are options for every budget. With the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 and its more affordable FE sibling (plus theupdated Z Fold 7), there’s a flip or a fold for just about everyone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
Let’s dive into the Galaxy Z Flip 7 first. This go-around, you’re getting a 4.1-inch edge-to-edge “Flex Window” display on the easier. The bezels are practically non-existent at just 1.25mm, and with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600-nit brightness, everything should look smooth and vibrant. Open it up, and you’re greeted by a spacious 6.9-inch internal display. The device is 3.3mm wider than before, making it feel a bit less tall and narrow.
Battery life is always a concern with foldables, but the Z Flip 7 packs a respectable 4,300mAh battery, promising up to 31 hours of video playback. That’s a decent improvement that should get you through your day. Camera-wise, you’re looking at a capable 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP selfie camera. Plus, for the first time on a Z Flip, you’re getting Samsung DeX support, letting you turn your phone into a desktop-like experience.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
Now, if you’ve been eyeing a foldable but the price tag has held you back, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE might be what you’ve been waiting for. This marks the first “Fan Edition” in Samsung’s foldable lineup, aiming to bring the foldable experience to a wider audience. You still get a capable 50MP camera, and the inner display is only slightly smaller at 6.7 inches. Samsung did not share the full specs for the Z Flip FE.
TheGalaxy Z Flip 7starts at $1,099.99 for the 256GB model, with a 512GB option available. Color choices are Blue Shadow, Jet Black, Coral Red, and an online exclusive Mint. TheGalaxy Z Flip 7 FEcomes in at a slightly more accessible $899.99 for the 128GB and 256GB variants, available in classic White and Black. Both models are available for pre-order starting today from Samsung.com and other carriers and retailers.

Samsung’s most affordable foldable brings the Flip experience to more people. But with lower-end materials and an Exynos chip, it’s a tough sell at its current price.
A wider shape and a new edge-to-edge FlexWindow make this the most usable Flip yet. It’s compact, customizable, and packed with smart AI tools right on the cover screen.
