Summary
If you’re looking for an instant camera that offers the most nostalgia possible with an old-fashioned yet modern experience, the latest Polaroid Now series is a solid choice. Today, the company unleashed its latest Polaroid Now and Now+ Generation 3 cameras, promising better photos and extra-sharp prints.
The newPolaroid Now Generation 3(and Now+) cameras just received a huge overhaul, even if they still have that retro look we’re all familiar with. While things don’t look that different on the outside, aside from new color variations, this is an entirely new camera experience designed to capture the best instant photos possible. As usual, you can print gorgeous photos on its large square i-Type film.

So, what’s new with the new Now and Now+ Instant cameras? For starters, Now 3 comes in six colors: Graphite, Purple, Arctic Blue, Yellow, Pebble, and Coral. Additionally, Polaroid is now using 40% recycled materials for the housing, which is always nice to see.
On the inside, Polaroid sums things up by saying this generation offers “a refined instant camera with an upgraded two-lens autofocus system, improved ranging sensor, and better light metering for sharper images, even on the sunniest days.” Additionally, we expect better results taking photos in low-light conditions thanks to the new camera system, which is one area previous models struggled with.

Along with an upgraded ranging sensor and a better autofocus system, the 3rd generation Now cameras come equipped with a built-in tripod mount, more filter compatibility than before, self-timers, and still packs a rechargeable battery via USB-C port.
I love Polaroid’s iconic look and classic square film, but sometimes the photos don’t turn out as great as other brands on the market. Hopefully, that’ll be a thing of the past now that this 3rd generation has upgraded sensors.
“Twice the Clarity: The Generation 3 Polaroid Now’s twin-lens autofocusing system chooses which lens is right for the shot. Capturing the moment is as simple as clicking the big red shutter button.”
When it comes to thebest instant camerasthese days, Fujifilm isoffering wider prints, while Polaroid continues to refine its classic old-school look. Both make excellent cameras, and it’s more of a personal preference than anything. However, thanks to the upgrades to the Now 3, it’ll be a more difficult decision for all you creative types.
For those unaware, Polaroid typically offers two variants of its affordable instant cameras: the Now and the Now+. So, what’s the difference between the two? These two cameras are almost identical inside and out, but the Now 3+ can pair to your phone for wireless hands-free controls. Essentially, it opens up the camera for more situations, letting you easily capture yourself, groups, and scenes.
