Nanoleaf has just announced the release of the Nanoleaf 4D V2, an upgraded version of its screen mirror and lightstrip kit. This new kit comes with a re-engineered lightstrip and camera system that gives a much better screen mirroring experience, and the size of the strip can be modified with ease.
As announced at CESearlier this year, thenew versioncomes with a lot of improvements over the previous model, with a focus on color accuracy. You can now expect brighter and crisper whites that are more accurate, which is a huge deal for a product like this. The upgraded color accuracy makes sure the ultra-vibrant, real-time syncing works with a full glow at the right times. Essentially, the screen mirroring is a lot better and more accurate than the last version.
If you’ve never seen it before, the light behind the TV matches what’s going on around the TV. This can push out really far, or it can just become an outer glow for the TV. This makes it feel like the images are coming out of the screen because their color extends further than the screen itself. It also reacts dynamically, so changes in the screen are reflected in the lights seamlessly.
Another great change is the new zigzag lightstrip design. It’s been designed for a cleaner, faster installation on any TV up to 65 inches and wraps seamlessly around the entire screen. This design eliminates the need for any corner brackets, which is a big deal for a clean setup. Along with that, the new Smart Remapping feature lets you trim the lightstrip to fit any size screen, and the lighting effects will automatically readjust. This is great because it means that even if you have a smaller TV, you can still get the full experience and don’t need to worry about having a lightstrip that’s too long.
Nanoleaf’s Sync+ technology is also included, and lets you transform your entire space into an extension of your screen by syncing 4D V2 with other Nanoleaf lights. This lets you sync your 4D V2 with other Nanoleaf lights, like the newly launched Floor Lamp, Shapes, Blocks, Lines, and Bulbs. I’ve seen plenty of TikToks showing off how immersive movie nights can be thanks to these features, and I have to say it looks great when it’s all set up.
The Nanoleaf 4D V2 has four different modes to help you customize your setup. These modes range from slow ambient background lighting to maximum output, so you can pick the one that’s perfect for what you’re watching. The kit is controlled through Wi-Fi using the Nanoleaf App and is compatible with all major smart home ecosystems.
The new Nanoleaf 4D V2 isavailable now on the Nanoleaf storefor $99.99, and it will also be available at Amazon and Best Buy in September. It comes with a screen mirror camera, camera mount, magnetic privacy cover, addressable zigzag gradient lightstrip, Nanoleaf 4D Controller, power supply unit, microfiber cloth, and a guideline. This new version looks like a great upgrade, and the price is pretty fair too.
