Lenovo Legion Go

Packed with a powerful Ryzen Zen 1 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a beautiful 8.8-inch 144Hz display, the Lenovo Legion Go is one of the best portable gaming PCs available today.

Lenovo’s excellent Legion Go handheld gaming PC is now available at a deep discount. You can grabthe 1TB modelfor $600—its lowest price to date—or pick upthe 512GB versionfor just $500.

Lenovo Legion Go

TheLegion Gois essentially just a souped-up version of Valve’s Steam Deck. It features a beefier AMD Ryzen Z1 processor, a larger 8.8-inch screen with a stunning 144Hz refresh rate, plus an integrated kickstand and Nintendo Switch-like removable controllers. Games that run poorly on Steam Deck will generally play much better on the Legion Go, and although the larger screen size adds quite a bit of bulk, it ensures that in-game text is at least somewhat legible.

Lenovo’s console is also capable of hooking up to a TV or external monitor through aUSB docking station—the Steam Deck also offers this feature, but Legion Go’s detachable controllers save you the trouble of pairing a third-party gamepad to your console while in docked mode. It’s also worth noting that the Legion Go can stand in for a desktop computer when docked.

Though, to clarify, this is theoriginalLenovo Legion Go—it was manufactured beforeLenovo secured a partnership Valve, so it runs Windows 11.Dual-booting SteamOStakes hardly any effort but can improve the console’s battery life and performance, though the preinstalled Windows 11 operating system is genuinely fine (and willlet you play games that don’t work on SteamOS—some competitive online multiplayer games require Windows due to anticheat weirdness, and Epic Games titles likeFortnitesimply aren’t available on Steam).

This is the best deal we’ve seen for the1TB Lenovo Legion Go. At $600, it’s a full $150 off the retail price and just $100 more than the512GB Legion Gothat’s currently on sale at Amazon. I expect to see similar deals later this year, perhapsduring Prime Day, but I don’t think that the 1TB Legion Go will fall below $600 in 2025. So, if you’re interested, don’t hold out. Just pull the trigger and enjoy your new handheld gaming PC.
