Are you ready for the iPhone 17? Well, the event is just over a month away, so I wanted to dig up my favorite iPhone colors from years past and think about what hue the iPhone 17 would look best in.
7Green (iPhone 11)
Apple has made a lot of fun colors over the years, but one of my favorites has to be the sea foam/mint green from the iPhone 11. This light and bright color simply stood out from other devices on the market.
The teal of the iPhone 16 does come close to the iPhone 11’s Green. It’s still a deeper green than the iPhone 11 was though, and that’s the one that I really want to see come back for the iPhone 17.

6Product (RED)
I miss the Product(RED) line that Apple used to offer. It’s been a few years since Apple had an iPhone in the iconic red hue, and the iPhone 17 is the perfect time to bring it back.
Product(RED) devices varied in the specific red hue used over the years, but they were always deep and stood out in a crowd of boring-colored phones. While Apple does still sell both the iPhone 14 and iPhone SE in Product(RED), I’d love for the iPhone 17 to come in the color.

5Blue (iPhone XR)
The iPhone XR’s Blue colorway is similar to the iPhone 11’s Green, in my opinion. The perfect light hue, but not too light. I’m a huge blue fan (my second-favorite iPhone color is Blue Titanium from the iPhone 15 Pro, after all), and I typically lean toward the darker blues.
However, with the iPhone XR, I think the light blue just worked. Falling between a sky blue and an ocean blue, the iPhone 17 would look stellar in this colorway, especially with the new camera system (which the iPhone XR notably lacked).

4Green (iPhone 13)
TheiPhone 13marked a move away from brighter colors to darker hues. The iPhone 13’s Green colorway resembles a nice deep forest green, and I absolutely love it.
It’s a bit brighter than I’d like if I was designing my own green color for an iPhone, but overall I really enjoy the iPhone 13’s Green and think the iPhone 17 would look great wrapped in that hue.

3Pacific Blue (iPhone 12 Pro)
Apple’s Pacific Blue from theiPhone 12 Prois honestly iconic. It’s a mix between a dark and light blue, and the sheen from the matte glass back looked great.
While I personally skipped the iPhone 12 Pro lineup (I went from the 11 Pro to the 12 mini and then 13 Pro), the Pacific Blue would have been my pick of this generation. I think with the new stylings expected for the iPhone 17, Pacific Blue could look pretty stellar.

2Blue Titanium (iPhone 15 Pro)
My current phone is theiPhone 15 Pro. I didn’t quite find the 16 Pro worth upgrading to, and I really love the Blue Titanium colorway that the 15 Pro came in.
As far as blues go from Apple, this is my favorite shade the company has ever offered. It’s almost black, but not quite. The dark blue is more slate than royal blue, and I think Apple found the perfect balance here. I would love to see Apple bring Blue Titanium back for the iPhone 17 Pro. I think it could look great.

1Midnight Green (iPhone 11 Pro)
My favorite iPhone color of all time is Midnight Green from the iPhone 11 Pro. There’s no question that I would buy every device in this color if it was offered.
I’m a huge green fan (as can be seen by the amount of green in this article), but dark greens? That’s my jam. I’m about to paint my office a deep green (almost black) and that’s exactly how I felt the Midnight Green colorway was—almost black, but just green enough.

Midnight Green definitely has more color than Blue Titanium, but in a good way. When I had my Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro, the color choice felt sophisticated but also more fun than a simple black or white.
If I could only pick one color for Apple to bring back for the iPhone 17 launch in a few months, it would be Midnight Green or some derivative of it. The color just stands out like none other to me when it comes to iPhone hues.
Therumors are swirling about the iPhone 17 Air, and it could be a make-or-break year for Apple. The ultra-thin device has a chance to turn heads, but Apple has to get a lot right for the upcoming smartphone launch to really land it.
However, if you don’t want to wait until September to get a new phone, there are a number of great iPhone choices on the market right now. From the powerhouseiPhone 16 Proto the newcomeriPhone 16e, these are the bestiPhones you can buy right now.
