We’ve all been there, making what feels like a hundred Amazon returns. While the process is usually straightforward, misplacing the QR code or not having it ready when you need it is a nightmare. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be like that anymore thanks to the Wallet app on your iPhone.

I make frequent Amazon returns, and when it’s finally my turn in line, I always seem to fumble for the QR code. Thankfully, you can now add return codes directly to your Apple Wallet, making the entire process quicker and more convenient.

The Problem With Amazon Returns

Before getting into the good news, we must discuss one major issue withAmazon returns—the QR code placement. While it’s conveniently stored within the Amazon app, accessing it requires tapping several menus, which can be frustrating when you’re in a rush.

You must open the app, go to your orders, find the return, tap on it, and locate the QR code. That’s many steps, especially when you’re short on time and getting flustered in a queue of equally flustered other people.

On the other hand, Amazon also emails the code to you. While this is helpful, it can easily get lost among all of the other unread emails that clog your inbox.

Maybe you’ve tried to get ahead of this by screenshotting your QR codes instead. Unfortunately, when you do this it’s often unclear which item it’s for. It can be difficult to fit both the code and identifying details in a single screenshot. This isn’t so bad when you’re returning a single item, but it can be a pain when you have multiple returns to do at once from different orders.

For all of this, integration with Apple Wallet has made the process much easier and eliminated the dread of handling multiple Amazon returns simultaneously.

Apple Wallet Makes Amazon Returns Faster

Apple Wallet has alwayshelped me out in a pinch, especially when I need to check out with Apple Pay, show a movie ticket, or collect rewards points at one of my favorite fast food chains. Finding everything in one spot by just pressing the power button twice is super efficient. Apple Watch owners can also access these cards, tickets, and passes by double-clicking the side button.

Now that Amazon return codes can live in Apple Wallet, I can easily pull them up at the counter for the associate to scan. It’s now a double-click, select, and show process—and I’m done.

However, it’s much more than just convenience; the information shown on each card is also very beneficial. The card in Apple Wallet doesn’t just show the QR code, but also all the essential information about the product and the return.

Before we discuss the card, let’s take a look at how to add these codes to your Wallet. When you make a return, you’ll still go through the same process as before, but at the end, where it summarizes everything about the return, a new “Add to Apple Wallet” button appears. Tapping on this will add it to your Wallet.

If you start a return on a device that doesn’t have the Wallet app, like an iPad, all hope is not lost. You’ll navigate to the same return on your iPhone, and then find the option to add it to your Apple Wallet.

When you import an Amazon return card and pull it up, not only will the QR code be at the bottom, but the date you need to return by, the name of the item, its size, its color, and the location to which you need to return it will be present too. A small photo of the item can also be seen in the upper-right corner of the card.

What’s great about these features is that they show which item the QR code is for and tell you where to return the item. Since not all items can be returned to the same location, clearly displaying the location where each item goes is incredibly helpful.

Furthermore, if you buy multiples of the same item—just in different colors—you will know which QR code goes to which because it is stated on the card.

When it comes to multiple returns, you may think the Wallet app will be filled with cards toppling over one another, but that’s not the case. When you add multiple Amazon return cards to your Wallet, they’re all stored in one place. Tapping on the first card lets you easily swipe through the rest, making it quick and seamless to manage multiple returns.

Having the return-by date visible is also a big plus, especially if you’ve been putting off a return and want to know how much time you have left. It helps you stay on top of deadlines because the information is easier to see.

Adding your Amazon return to Apple Wallet doesn’t just save the QR code; it includes everything you need to know in one place. With all the details at your fingertips, returning itemsno longer feels like a hassle.

You Can Share Your Amazon Return Cards With Others

While most of us do our Amazon returns ourselves, there are also times when you may have someone else do it for you if they are also making returns. In this scenario, all hope is not lost since you can share your Amazon return cards with others.

When looking at the card in the Wallet app, tap on the share icon in the upper right corner. From there, like with other cards and passes, you can decide how you would like to share it with others.

More often than not, you’ll likely share it with others through the Messages app. Just like sharing other Wallet passes, this works the same way.

Once the recipient gets your message, they can simply tap the “Add” button, and the return pass will be imported directly into their Wallet. It’s quick and easy (as long as they too have an iPhone, of course).

From there, like you, they can pull up the card in their Apple Wallet and present it to the appropriate person to scan. The card will include all the same information as it appears in your Wallet.

Sharing your Amazon return card with others is a faster and simpler option than taking a screenshot of the QR code, sending it over, and then explaining what the other person is returning. Instead, you can import the card into your Wallet and share it directly, and they will still have all the information they need in one place on the return card. Getting others to do your bidding has never been so easy.

Amazon returns are not tricky, but adding the return code to your Apple Wallet makes them much easier. This is especially true since the card contains all the information you need and more.

If you’re like me and make more Amazon returns than you may count—and you have an iPhone—I highly recommend adding your return code to your Wallet. It’s quick, simple, and saves you time when it’s time to scan at the counter.
